 Dig Painting Series

The intentions of my past work was to create worlds that promoted relaxation and harmony. By doing so the paintings gave me hope and purpose. But in the past few years i have had thoughts and feelings of being inauthentic and of self-betrayal. My art projected serenity and whimsey but psychologically i was full of fear, doubt, sadness and shame. The new series called 'Dig' is my exploration of my emotional struggles that have haunted me since my youth. The process has been the most challenging artistically and emotionally of my life. These paintings are only the beginning and their will be more to come so i can grow and strengthen my spirit.
